Our Story

Tiare Hawaii was founded in Hawaii in 2009 by Jane Hoskins. Inspired by a love of travel and immersive experience, it's become a global beachwear brand leading the independent category.

We use the beauty of nature around us and our love of travel as inspiration to create the colors and bohemian details in our garments. All of our pieces are handmade using traditional dyeing techniques that have been used for centuries.

It's our mission to bring you a piece of paradise Anywhere You Dream.

Our Process

Process is everything to us, so rather than use digital printing that can lack the luster and personality our pieces demand, we look to old-world techniques to create new versions of paradise.

Batik Printing

Our organic dyes and are kissed by Mother Nature’s magic to create deep colors. Using a hand-stamped hot wax process we carry on tradition and create vivid new patterns.

Our prints are personal. Whether it’s the shores of the island we call home or the hibiscus gardens of Waimea, we look to natural beauty to guide our designs. From there, it’s all about the details that bring personality and individuality to each design.

Not only are Tiare Hawaii pieces printed, dyed, and constructed by hand, we often draw our patterns by hand to add a pop of personality and uniqueness. We work with graphic designers to refind each print, playing with color, shape, and scale to find the right match for each piece.

Step 3: From the Screen to the Dream

Once our design is finalized, it’s ready to print and, like our initial drawings, we bring that personal design ethos and principle into producing our patterns. That means we’re committed to producing handmade pieces made with love using traditional techniques by local artisans.

Once we receive and approve our latest designs it’s time to bring them to life. There’s no better way to highlight the dreamlike wonder, individuality, and vibes of a new design than to work with models that embody the Aloha Spirit.
